CV Useful Tips to get started with

We all want a CV that open doors for us. A CV that represent us and be our first marketing tool.


Tips for a good CV:

1. Choose a good format

2. Choose good colors that shows professionalism

3. Wrote your names in full, as they appear in your ID card

4. Avoid writing your full ID number, rather use your date of birth

5. Do not write your full address with house number and street number, instead write your town and province

6. Always have an alternative number in case you are out of reach

7. With all your qualifications start listing the most recent one with years cos completion

8. Avoid listing your subjects and modules if you have work experience

9. List your skills both soft skills and technical

10. Detail any other certificate, training and achievements

11. Start with your most current work employment with months and years you have worked e.g April 2015 - July 2017

12. Detail your job responsibilities in full

13. Avoid references from your current employer if you are still employed.

14. Have more than 2 references that you have spoken with and know you well
